Dancing with The Arks Stars will be held March 12 at Pinewood Preparatory School. Local celebrities will partner with dancers from Elite Dance International Studio and Apparel to raise money for The ARK - Alzheimer's Family Support Services. The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center is holding its annual Chart a Course for Children gala next month at The Cedar Room at Mercantile and Mash in the Cigar Factory. And the center has been given a challenge grant from the River Oaks Foundation. East Cooper Land Trust will benefit from the annual Race and Roast 5K Trail Run and Oyster Roast in March at Oakland Plantation. Denny & Mark's Pro-Am JAM raised more than $200,000 last year, with funds going to Student Transportation Inc.'s Education Fundation, the Denny Hamlin Foundation, cystic fibrosis research at MUSC Childrens Hospital, and Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church's Moving Forward Fund. Money Rocks, a workshop for young people, is set for March 5 at Charleston Southern University. Lee & Associates Charleston, RARE Charleston- Ravenel Associates Real Estate and Rawle Murdy donated 800 pounds of food and $600 to Lowcountry Food Bank.
